The EZO SSB-4 Pickup Mounting Plate System creates dedicated mounting points beneath the pickup so you don't have to rely on pickup screws threading directly into the instrument body. The result is a tidy direct-mount installation that is easier to adjust, remove, reinstall, and service over the life of the instrument.

Designed specifically around the Seymour Duncan SSB-4 soapbar bass pickup, the compact plate fits beneath the pickup and preserves the clean look of a direct-mounted installation without requiring a visible pickup ring.

Why Use a Mounting Plate?

Repeated pickup-height adjustments and removals can wear screw holes in body wood over time. A dedicated mounting structure keeps those adjustments concentrated in the mounting system instead, making the installation more repeatable and less fiddly during assembly and future service.
